How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle? How does considering implementing these "R's" make you feel?

i'm glad we have them, don't get me wrong, but i really wish we could find a way to convince people not to use those **** waterbottles!  to me, at least, it seems like we'd save tons and tons of plastic if we outlaws or banned them - i don't understand for the life of me why we should even have to pass a law mandating it - why can't people just do it for the good of the planet??

It is often said that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” What is your response to that statement?

Absolutely incorrect.  Of course we can.  The more nutrient dense our food the more we'll be sustained.  If we didn't waste so much food we'd have more than enough.

Do you have any personal connections to a farm or farmland? If so, what are they? What feelings are evoked for you when thinking about declining farmland?

i have no connections to any farm or farmland.  However, as a vegetarian it bothers me a lot to see less and less farmland every year; i'm tired of hearing how we need more factory farms because organic can't feed everyone.  i believe that they can definitely do it.  We're stripping the earth of its soil and could care less.  we think it's okay to kill the planet.

I'm afraid I signed up for a few too many challenges this spring/summer, as a result of which I"m not doing very well, not to mention my unexpected surgery.  I won't do this again!  lol - hope everyone is well and working hard at this

everything is well here in port st john, florida; the weather is hot, but sunny; i'm having great opportunities to read and study; i'm particularly interested in the fact that Pachamama Alliance is a partner in Drawdown and between both of these sources i'm learning tons of new information; everything is intertwined, as is my life,  although sometimes i think rather than intertwined i'd say knotted beyond belief

I sure am learning a lot with this drawdown challenge again this year; it's amazing how much information is available here to help us ; for some reason i'm having a problem with remembering to sign in every day so i've now put a reminder on my calendar - let's see if this helps.......starting july 1st i'll be team captain for the plastic free challenge and the food challenge - keeping myself busy and looking forward to learning even more things; changes are coming in all areas of our lives......
