REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Education Research Barriers to Participation and RepresentationWhat are some of the barriers that exist to women's equal participation and/or representation in your community?
Emma Freese 10/19/2023 10:42 AMI focused more on barriers that exist globally that impact women's equal participation. Religion and culture can be big barriers for women, I read the article "Women Who Dare To Bicycle In Pakistan" by Diaa Hadid and Abdul Sattar. These women have to go against what they've grown up seeing, knowing, and being told just to ride a bike or socialize in a way men a freely able to do. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Green My JobWhat actions will you take to green your job?
Emma Freese 10/17/2023 8:43 AMOne of the things I discussed with our international staff during my site visit to Edinburgh this summer, we talked about ways they wanted to incorporate more green activities to the Edinburgh program. Jenni had the idea of partnering with one of the employers we work with to do a trash clean up. I think part of what I want to do is continue to have these discussions with team members and participants.
