Lilliam's Actions

Materials

Recycling

I will Practice the "5 Rs" — refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle — to reduce my waste more than I can with just recycling alone.

DAILY ACTIONS

Materials

Recycle Everything I Can

Recycling

Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will research and recycle all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community, making sure to not contaminate recyclables with non-recyclables.

DAILY ACTIONS

Materials

Reduce Single-Use Disposables

Bioplastics

I will avoid buying and using 4 single-use plastics and instead replace them with durable options.

Having my metal water bottle with me is second nature to me now, so much so that if I don't have it, I panic. I'm in love with my water bottle.

I'm the same way!  I'm lazy though and have to bring a coffee/tea one and one for water.  I also found a tote bag that has a place for 2 bottles and I can't use anything else.

Today was my biweekly recycling day pick-up. I was happy to have a full recycling bin and a not very full trash bin!
