I learned that family planning brings economic benefits and saves lives. The contraceptive prevalence rate is much lower in developing countries than in developed countries.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

Sell buy dates is how long the stores should have the products due to inventory management. Best buy is when the product is at the peak quality. Use buy is the last date the product is at it's PEAK quality. None of the dates are for safety. Researching helps because it lets you know the truth about expiration dates and how corporations are lying to you.

It is a great time to think and let your mind wander.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Animal Products
Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?

They eat more because meat is an expensive amenity. Eating meat is not as good for your body than fruits and vegetables. It affects our planet because cows produce methane that gets released into our atmosphere. It also affects our planet because a lot of area is cleared for livestock.
