    I
learned that most of the land we use on growing crops we use to grow cocoa, coffee beans, and palm oil.

How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

I will not throw out food just because the sell by date is in the past. Instead I
will judge the food on if it has spoiled yet.

The most exiting energy solution i found was actually the simplest, solar energy was the most exiting to me because of the amount of money we could save and the efficiency in making the energy.

Changing lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?

Whats next for me is instead of leaving some lights on all the time I will start to try to turn the lights off when I'm not in that room or need them on.
  • Reflection Question
Electricity Learn More about Micro Wind
Micro turbines can be placed on large structures to take advantage of stronger, steadier breezes. The Eiffel Tower now sports vertical axis turbines that produce electricity for use on site. Where could micro turbines potentially be installed in your city?

We could put wind turbines on top of all of the county government buildings, on most of the county schools( I don't think we should put them on asheville high or the asheville government building because of the roof type.) Where we really should put wind turbines are on mountain tops where there is even more wind.

Had you ever heard of biomass technology before you took this challenge? What did you learn that surprised you? Share your new knowledge with your friends!

I have heard and learned about biomass before, we learned a little bit about it last year. A Lot of the things I learned today surprised me because this was my first time getting to actually learn about it and get to a deeper understanding of how biomass works.

  • Reflection Question
Electricity Learn More About Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is reliable, abundant, and efficient. Project Drawdown states that public investment will play a crucial role in its expansion. In what ways (i.e. with money, time, advocacy) can you invest in geothermal energy?

I already have invested in geothermal power by putting it in my house. We use geothermal heating and cooling in my house.
