Time Outside

There is no better way to connect with nature than spending time outside. I spent at least 30 minutes outside today.

One-Time Action

Land Use

Create your own Prayer Circle!

As caretakers of the land, sometimes, we have to pray for the water. Visit the prayer circle at Plymouth outside Jones' Commons or create your own at home (It can be impermanent) and say a prayer or express your gratitude for the water in our city, state, or world.

    Land Use Time Outside
How did you feel different before and after going outside?

Today I climbed up onto my garage roof. You see, it is a flat roof situated underneath a tree. I had noticed that there were a lot of sticks and gunk piled up there, and today I decided to do something about it. I don't know how long the leaves and sticks had been sitting there, but in most places they had already decayed into dirt.

I felt connected to nature. It felt good to get my hands dirty, move the dirt to the ground where it can feed plants, and remove rotting material from the garage where it would have destroyed the roof. One small but meaningful way of giving back to nature

Welcome Plymouth Team Members! I hope you get a chance to record some positive earth actions this week. I find that shutting down the computer is the hardest and most meaningful action I have taken this week. What meaningful actions are you taking (or planning to take) to move us towards a greener future?

What did you do for Earth Day? I went for a long walk and ended up sitting in a patch of green space near some train tracks (the closest I got to wilderness). Share a story or photo here!

I haven't checked off any challenges or daily habits YET, but I know I'm going to make sure my computer is powered down for at least 2 hours during the day tomorrow! When building new habits, start small!
