REFLECTION QUESTIONIndustry Choose Recycled PaperGood job on choosing recycled paper! How can you take your action a step further?
GABRIELA CHASIJUAN 9/28/2024 8:08 PMTo take my commitment to sustainability a step further, I can continue using recycled paper not only in my home but also in my consulting business office. In addition, I can focus on reusing paper as much as possible before recycling it. For example, I could repurpose printed sheets for note-taking or drafts and encourage digital documentation whenever feasible to minimize paper use altogether. Implementing double-sided printing and maintaining a paper recycling system in the office will help reduce waste while supporting eco-friendly practices in my personal and professional life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Reduce Food WasteAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?
GABRIELA CHASIJUAN 9/28/2024 8:05 PMI would certainly rather spend this money on food on something more important to my family and or business. For instance, $1,500 could be used in my consulting business to invest in marketing, better equipment, or even growth opportunities. Or, it could be used to help with my son's education either with paying for extracurricular activities or setting aside money for college. By being conscious about consumption, the money we didn’t spend on food could be redirected to something more significant and important to us, therefore bringing a long-lasting value to our families over the years.
