Reflection QuestionMaterials Practice the 5 R'sWhat are some more "R's" you could add to your daily practice to reduce your waste?
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/26/2020 8:41 AMAnother R could be railroad, as in, going on railroads (trains) instead of going in our cars! -
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/24/2020 9:19 AMHi guys, today I ate a meal with smaller portion by ASKING the lunch lady to give me less food.

Reflection QuestionWomen and Girls Host a Film ScreeningThank you for raising awareness of women's and gender equality issues. What is the next step to actually address this disparity?
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/21/2020 11:49 AMWe could make people all over the world aware of the inequalities of women and girls compared to men and boys; making people more aware could help us help the women and girls all around the world that need help, but just starting with us! -
Reflection QuestionFood Zero-waste CookingIn North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/21/2020 11:48 AMI can use the whole vegetable by putting different parts of the veggie, into different parts of the foods, which is using all of the parts of the food. Then, I'll have a healthy meal with no waste! -
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/21/2020 11:23 AMHi ppl. You guys should just log on everyday and put that you did your challenges. -
Reflection QuestionFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our bodies, our planet, and other people?
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/10/2020 8:58 AMRicher places eat more meat because they have more money to afford it. The demand for meat affects us because the cows are no longer grass-fed, farmers are now feeding them unnecessary human foods like corn, which makes cows release more methane. -
Reflection QuestionFood Smaller PortionsWhile dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/10/2020 8:52 AMThe other benefits could be less money wasted, and more food for us! Our delicious food shouldn't go to waste! -
Cheetah Kenzie C. 2/10/2020 8:47 AMI'm just gonna keep doing this. Get ready people 0-0
