Food Keep Track of Wasted Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Where would you rather use this money?

    Brenda Bouttell 11/10/2019 3:53 PM
I am going to take a photo of xcompostingbin at the end of every day and see how much food goes here..It  does go I to  curbside composting pick  up
  • Reflection Question
    Food Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Brenda Bouttell 11/10/2019 3:48 PM
Loose 10 lbs in the next two months
    Spend less money  on food
    Less  dishes to  clean

  • Reflection Question
Buildings and Cities Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?

    Brenda Bouttell 11/10/2019 3:43 PM
Since retiring  16 months ago Jamie and I have incorporated a daily 60 minute walk ,mostly from our home...beautiful scenery, touch base with others, pick up some groceries etc. Love IT!
What to work on is walking to yoga or  choir...leave too late, don't want to walk ie rain, too lazy...mental patterns that get in the way. wE now have only one vehicle ..so we negotiate or plan trips now into town...ie Courtenay
