Marcia Booth 6/25/2020 5:33 PMHave been observing nature a little closer due to a class that I’m taking. It’s so fascinating! I love where we live. I can see so many birds around here - and bunnies :-) -
Marcia Booth 6/19/2020 1:16 PMHave been having to fit walks between rainy times. A lot of rainy days and it might carry on this way :-( The good thing is that we get to see different residents (wildlife) around. Always look on the bright side ;-) -
Marcia Booth 6/18/2020 6:32 AMThe beauty of wildlife reminds me why I do what I do - and there’s always more that can be done. -

Marcia Booth 6/09/2020 2:49 PMFirst day opening Recycle Brevard. Signs on the door, returning phone calls and now re-recording phone message took the whole three hours. Let's see how this opening up will go. -
Marcia Booth 6/06/2020 6:48 AMWhat I have learned from researching pet food:
1. Cats cannot eat vegan food :-(
https://www.aspca.org/news/why-cant-my-cat-be-vegan
https://www.peta.org/living/animal-companions/vegetarian-cats-dogs/
"Many, but not all, dogs and cats do well on a vegan diet, so watch them closely to ensure that the new vegan food is agreeing with them. You may need to make adjustments if you notice skin, digestive, or other health problems. Try a different brand or recipe, and if necessary go back to feeding the previous diet" (Peta).
2. Some ingredients in pet food are better than others - some can even cause allergies!
https://www.thesprucepets.com/about-cat-food-ingredients-551949
3. There are somewhat better alternatives for food - certified humane; animal welfare certified
https://www.aspca.org/shopwithyourheart/consumer-resources/shop-your-heart-brand-list#pet
https://www.aspca.org/shopwithyourheart/consumer-resources/meat-eggs-and-dairy-label-guide
4. After examining the label, I realized that the food we have been feeding our cats is not good... :-(
