Paulinne Anaya 1/24/2023 2:29 PMNo progress on the actions that I signed up for but I am proud of myself for walking to work with heavy bags of inventory because I am committed to offsetting my daily drives to Wenatchee from Leavenworth in an Explorer. I desperately need to start taking the bus and invest in an electric vehicle.-
Joan Qazi 1/26/2023 9:59 PMI have taken the bus from Wenatchee to Leavenworth or Wenatchee to Chelan. I find it super comfortable, relaxing because I am not driving, and free!

Reflection QuestionFood, Agriculture, and Land Use CompostingProducing food that goes uneaten squanders many resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital. Which of these kinds of waste most motivates you to change your behavior regarding food waste? Why?
Paulinne Anaya 1/23/2023 11:52 AMEnergy, water, land, and fertilizer waste motivate me to change my behavior regarding food waste. Those resources use have their greenhouse gas emissions and ecological footprint associated with them to get food to my plate--- if I waste food then I am creating those emissions and pollution in vain. That is very wasteful and depressing and I don't want to contribute to that kind of wasteful behavior. -
Reflection QuestionFood, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn the Truth About Expiration DatesHow does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?
Paulinne Anaya 1/23/2023 11:45 AMNow that I know the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates I am empowered to use the products in my cupboard that might be misconceived as expired and unsafe because of the dates and reduce food waste in my home. I am going to look for recipes to use up food in my pantry before I go grocery shopping and further reduce food waste that way as well.
